Advertising Opportunities

The PDCA would like to take the time to thank everyone who took part in the advertising scheme which we ran over the Christmas period. This trial period, we feel, was a success.

Every penny raised from the advertising has been donated to the Y Bont fundraiser in which you should all be aware of now. If you haven’t then please take a second to follow this link for more information.

Y BONT Sensory Garden Fundraiser

We ran the advertising campaign to last until 31st of January, 2017. We hope those who have taken the opportunity to advertise have benefited from this.

As we move into February, we are offering another opportunity to advertise. All funds raised from this will be reinvested into Parc Derwen. For further information follow the link below to see the FAQ on how to be involved in this great opportunity.

Promote your Business – Y Bont Fundraiser

Since launching We have been trying to think of ways to bring the community together and to make this page as open, useful and as informative as possible.

Early on, one rule we put in place was that no advertising from businesses was allowed on the page.

But now, alongside our Sensory Garden Fundraiser for Y Bont, we have given companies the potential opportunity to promote on this page for a limited time and with the run up to Christmas, we thought this would be an ideal time to allow you all to promote your businesses.

All we ask for in return is a donation (Minimum of £10) to our Fundraiser and this will allow you to promote your business on this page until 31st of January, 2017.

All you have to do is head over to the website (direct link…/y-bont-sensory-garden-fundrais…/ ) and donate a minimum of £10.

Once this is done, contact myself (Lee) or Dean to confirm payment and then you will be allowed to advertise on the page until 31/01/2017.

We’re hoping to raise at least £1000 for a fantastic cause and with your donations and Christmas spirit, I’m sure we can achieve this sooner than expected.

Parc Derwen – Christmas Decoration Competition 2016

I can’t be the only one who is beginning to notice a few festive lights popping up around Parc Derwen over the weekend. So now seems the perfect time to launch our very first Christmas Decoration Competition.

Post your best efforts onto the Parc Derwen Residents page (Click Here) using #DazzlingDerwen to enter.

The competition will close midnight on the 11th of December and the winner will be chosen by the Admins and will receive a bottle of bubbles and of course the highly regarded title of “Derwen Dazzler 2016”. The winners image will also be used as the header for the festive season on the website.

We are hoping to create a Parc Derwen Christmas Photo Album on and if you wish for yours not to be included in the album then please state so when uploading, if you do upload and do not state this, then we will assume consent.

Good Luck!

Give a Gift for Christmas

The purpose of this website is to be the number one source of all that is Parc Derwen and to hopefully find ways to give back to the community.
One idea that we have been thinking of to become our very first event as the newly constructed Parc Derwen Community Association (PDCA) is to create a charitable collection for those who are in desperate need of a good Christmas.

We want to involve the community as much as physically possible and now is your opportunity to have the say in our very first public event to help those in need. We have come up with 2 ideas and we want you to choose the best idea.

Here are the ideas:
1) Those who want to be involved can donate (at a fixed cost or at your own discretion TBC) to a joint fundraising page and this will be donated to a local charity to help bring smiles to people’s faces this Christmas.

2) To have gifts donated by yourselves and set up “Drop off points” within Parc Derwen for these to be collated and sent to the respected charities (Charity TBC).

Please don’t be afraid to vote or have a say in the comments. Also, you can message anyone of the admins and we will be more than happy to help with any enquiries you may have.
We want to make this as successful as possible and potentially shape future Christmases within the community.

Voting closes on 10pm, Friday 25th of November and further communication will be sent out to announce the winner and further plans to implement this amazing opportunity.
Also, we guarantee that 100% of all donations/gifts will be donated and the PDCA will not keep a single penny of donations.

Voting is available via the Facebook Page (Click Here).

Many Thanks
