Fibre Optic update (Parc Derwen)

So Parc Derwen is served by two cabinets (79 and 80)

If you check the openreach website, cabinet 79 is in its final stages of completion. Rumours suggest that high speed connections will be available within the next couple of months for that cabinet.

Cabinet 80 is a different story however, which as at the ‘design’ stage on the website. This suggest high speed connections on this cabinet will be available within 12 months.

Further information will be added here as and when we get it.

Local Elections May 4th 2017

So the local elections are upon us where we will all decide who to represent us for the next 5 years.

Coity and Litchard are both wards that fall into Parc Derwen, with 1 seat each at Bridgend County Borough Council level.

We are all also represented by the Coity Higher Community Council that is made up of seats from Coity, Litchard and Pendre.

A seat in any of these is very important and will shape the future of Parc Derwen. The Councillor of Coity and Litchard will be our representative to BCBC and those with a seat on the Coity Higher Community Council will have a say on how local funds are spent and where they are spent.

That is why it is important to make the right decision for you and the rest of us when you go to vote.

Rest assured, the Parc Derwen Community Association will continue to grow and create our own funds that will be spent to benefit Parc Derwen residents. That will never change.
