Advertising Opportunities

The PDCA would like to take the time to thank everyone who took part in the advertising scheme which we ran over the Christmas period. This trial period, we feel, was a success.

Every penny raised from the advertising has been donated to the Y Bont fundraiser in which you should all be aware of now. If you haven’t then please take a second to follow this link for more information.

Y BONT Sensory Garden Fundraiser

We ran the advertising campaign to last until 31st of January, 2017. We hope those who have taken the opportunity to advertise have benefited from this.

As we move into February, we are offering another opportunity to advertise. All funds raised from this will be reinvested into Parc Derwen. For further information follow the link below to see the FAQ on how to be involved in this great opportunity.

This information is official information provided by NBHW UK:

Payment diversion alert
Fraudsters are emailing members of the public who are expecting to make a payment for property repairs. The fraudsters will purport to be a tradesman who has recently completed work at the property and use a similar email address to that of the genuine tradesman. They will ask for funds to be transferred via bank transfer. Once payment is made the victims of the scam soon realise they have been deceived when the genuine tradesman requests payment for their services.

Protect yourself

  • Always check the email address is exactly the same as previous correspondence with the genuine contact.
  • For any request of payment via email verify the validity of the request with a phone call to the person who carried out the work.
  • Check the email for spelling and grammar as these signs can indicate that the email is not genuine.
  • Payments via bank transfer offer no financial protection; consider using alternative methods such as a credit card or PayPal which offer protection and an avenue for recompense.

If you believe that you have been a victim of fraud you can report it onlinehttp://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud or by telephone 0300 123 2040

Y Bont UPDATE

We are looking to hopefully hit the £500 raised by the end of January and the plan then is to donate that straight away to Y Bont. Throughout the rest of the year we will then continue to raise money for Y Bont and hopefully hit the £1,000 mark and beyond. The PDCA are delighted to support Y Bont over the course of 2017.

On presentation of the cheque we would like a few residents to come with us to Y Bont. So if you have donated and would like to represent Parc Derwen then please use the contact us form to declare your interest in attending.

PACT Meeting this Thursday

Hi all,

Just had a visit from our lovely PCSO team to remind us that the next Coity/Pendre/Litchard PACT meeting will be held next Thursday 19th January @ 7pm in Litchard Mission.

There was a great turnout last time.

I hope we can have a similar attendance this time as its an opportunity for residents to let the Police and those community and County Councillors who attend what your policing priorities are.

Thanks Tracey ?
